After Harvest Festival harvest: less yellow more t After Harvest Festival harvest: less yellow more tomatoey. A full bed of tomatoes - 6 kinds, runner beans, sage, lavender, agastache, tulsi, shiso, basil, amaranth, orach, pineapple flowers, Malabar spinach, crookneck, pattypan, 5 kinds of peppers, buzz buttons, cucumber, African cucumber, nasturtiums, dill flowers, okahijiki, sunflowers (grill ‘em young), purple sweet potato vine, sorrel, rainbow chard, lions mane from our cultivated logs, hedgehog mushies and chanterelles from our forest, and maybe some other stuff?

A little bit of everything makes a whole lot of so A little bit of everything makes a whole lot of something! The August garden is leggy, colourful, strange, flowery and aromatic. A few things have been pulled and a few things have been taken by mildew as we move into tomato time. We had some big winds last week and all the structures are getting leany with the heavy leaves (and watermelons and massive spaghetti squashes). Here we have some patty pans, crookneck squash, purple/rattlesnake/runner beans, nasturtiums, lemon cuke, dragons egg cuke, space maker cuke, rainbow chard, green coriander crunchies, green jelly melon, bittergourd, currant tomatoes, Cherokee purple tomato, green indigo gold tomato, various flowering mints, Shiso, tulsi, dill, sorrel, peas, hyacinth beans, Malabar spinach, magenta orach seed pods (salty!), some lions mane mushroom we grew and some chanterelles we didn’t grow.
